New York's Levain Bakery's chocolate chip cookies are famous, right?
In fact, I confess that I have never tried the original.
It's trending on a lot of social media, so I gave it a try too.
Crispy on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside.
This is an attractive cookie with a variety of textures.
This recipe adjusts the amount of sugar so it's not too sweet for a headache.
If you want to reduce the sugar level, reduce the chocolate chips and add more walnuts. Do not reduce the amount of sugar any further.

100 g roasted walnuts 200 g chocolate chips(milk or dark) *I used dark chocolate chips and dark couverture chocolate together. 115 g cold butter(1/2 c) 80 g light brown sugar 80 g granulated sugar 250 g all purpose flour 1 tsp cornstarch 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp baking soda 2 tsp baking powder 2 beaten large egg Vanilla Extract 1 tsp (Optional) *In fact, Vanilla is rarely used in Levain Bakery. But I prefer the vanilla one.
