Sometimes we just don't have enough time.
Wouldn't it be nice if you could prepare a nice cake in a short time?
Today, I introduce a simple cake for a sudden tea time.
The reason I said it's easy is because it's a one-bowl cake.
No complex icing required. Just a few nuts in your fridge are all you need.
No nuts?
It's good with just cream and strawberry jam.
The ingredients for the cake are very simple. It's so simple, so I added one ingredient to enhance the flavor. It's almond flour.
If you don't have almond flour on hand, substitute all-purpose flour.
However, I recommend adding it for good flavor.
This cake is a flat cake. So I baked it in a tart pan.
The size is perfect. The wavy pattern of the tart pan makes the cake even better.

Ingredients
[for basic cake]
1 egg
4 Tbsp(40 g) granulated sugar
50 ml of vegetable oil
50 ml of milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
50 g(6 Tbsp) all purpose flour
50 g(7 Tbsp) almond powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
[for whipped cream]
200 g heavy whipping cream
20 g granulated sugar
[decorations]
some strawberry jam, some sliced almonds, some pumpkin seeds, melted chocolate
[Direction]
Add granulated sugar to eggs at room temperature and stir to dissolve 70% of the sugar.
Add liquid ingredients and mix.
Add the powdered ingredients.
Almond flour will enhance the flavor of your cake.
Mix well so that there are no lumps. But don't over-mix it.
I used a 20 cm diameter tart pan.
Oil the pan, line the bottom with baking paper.
After pouring the cake batter into the mold, shock the bottom a few times to remove any large air bubbles.
Bake for about 18 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove the pan after the cake has cooled completely in the pan.
For a simple decoration, I made flower stems out of melted chocolate.
I use anchor heavy whipping cream.
Add granulated sugar to the cream and whip until soft peaks.
Spread whipped cream on top of the cake, leaving a 1 cm border.
Pipe the cream using the nozzle of your choice.
Spread strawberry jam on top.
I applied only a part of the middle, not the whole.
A pre-made chocolate stem was placed on top, and flowers were expressed with sliced almonds. And used pumpkin seeds for the leaves.
