Gâteau au chocolat :: Classic Chocolate Cake [Video]

It is raining gently today. It's dark, so I feel like I'm sinking into a depressed mode for some reason. In times like these, a piece of sweet cake often helps. Living in a remote country where only 6 buses pass a day, I can't go out right away to eat a piece of cake. It's my lifestyle to be self-sufficient with just the ingredients I have at home. Of course, the body is also one body with the sofa, but at times like this, the more you move, the less depressed you become. I want to move quickly. "Gâteau au chocolat" means chocolate cake. Unlike sponge cake, the texture is dense. If you use dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, you can meet the high-end taste that is bittersweet. I like sweet rather than too bitter, so I used the 54.5% Callebaut 811 product. It's not an insanely sweet cake, and it's not burdensome to eat one piece of cake with a lazy afternoon coffee. Whip the whipped cream lightly and squeeze it, put the cherries that have been s

Homemade Christmas Chocolate Drip Cake Recipe

Hello~!
Looking at the calendar, Christmas is about a month away.

Are you planning a Christmas cake?

Everyone will think that Christmas cakes should be more special than ever.
I did too.

I made decoration items myself for specialness.
You can get free template too.

Today's cake is filled with your own cake decorations and children's favorite cookies, chocolates, and jellies.

Cake making starts with making a sponge cake.
If you make it the day before, you have plenty of time on the day.
And a day-old sponge cake will be more moist and delicious.

And I recommend making the handmade decoration items I suggest in advance.

If you don't have enough time on the day, it would be nice to make whipped cream icing.

On the day, I apply ganache and focus only on the top decoration.

Please also refer to other designs of Christmas cakes.

Let's make it together with step by step photos.

Ingredients

1 tsp = 5 ml, 1 Tbsp = 15ml, 1 cup = 240ml

[Sponge Cake] *18 cm (7 inch ) round pan 3 eggs 90 g (7 Tbsp) granulated sugar 90 g (3/4 Cup) cake flour 1/4 tsp baking powder. 30 g (2 Tbsp) milk 2 Tbsp (26 g ) vegetable oil [Decoration] Sugar syrup : 20 g granulated sugar + 40 g hot water Icing cream : 500 g unsweetened whipping cream + 50 g granulated sugar Chocolate ganache : 60 g dark couverture chocolate (55%) + 60 g warm heavy cream

[Direction]

Put eggs and sugar in a bowl and prepare a double boiler.

Pour the hot water into the bottom bowl and keep whisking to avoid overcooking the eggs.

Whisk until sugar is completely dissolved.
Once the sugar has melted, remove the double boiler and beat the eggs on high speed.

It's good if you get a ribbon mark for about 5 seconds.

It took me about 5 minutes. Time may vary.

After sifting the flours, pour them over the whipped eggs and mix carefully.

Mix thoroughly so that the powder does not clump together. But be careful not to let the air bubbles disappear.

Add vegetable oil to warm milk, add 1 scoop of batter and mix together.

Add this mixture to the batter and mix thoroughly throughout.

Pour the cake batter into a 18 cm round pan and stir carefully with chopsticks to remove large air bubbles.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25 minutes.

As soon as you take it out of the oven, turn the cake over and let it cool.
Slice the completely cooled cake into 3 pieces.

Add sugar to the whipped cream and whip until soft peaks.

Drizzle the cake with syrup and apply the cream.
Repeat the same with the next layers.

Add whipped cream to dark chocolate and melt to make chocolate ganache.
Can be melted in a microwave or double boiler.
Let the ganache cool slightly before dripping.

Wait until the top ganache hardens properly before proceeding with the next decoration.

I used a plain nozzle and a star nozzle to pipe the cream on top.

I used a cake topper that I would make myself.

Decorate with your favorite cookies, chocolate candies and more.
