Gâteau au chocolat :: Classic Chocolate Cake [Video]

Image
It is raining gently today. It's dark, so I feel like I'm sinking into a depressed mode for some reason. In times like these, a piece of sweet cake often helps. Living in a remote country where only 6 buses pass a day, I can't go out right away to eat a piece of cake. It's my lifestyle to be self-sufficient with just the ingredients I have at home. Of course, the body is also one body with the sofa, but at times like this, the more you move, the less depressed you become. I want to move quickly. "Gâteau au chocolat" means chocolate cake. Unlike sponge cake, the texture is dense. If you use dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, you can meet the high-end taste that is bittersweet. I like sweet rather than too bitter, so I used the 54.5% Callebaut 811 product. It's not an insanely sweet cake, and it's not burdensome to eat one piece of cake with a lazy afternoon coffee. Whip the whipped cream lightly and squeeze it, put the cherries that have been s...

Cute Puppy Chocolate Cake for Kids // No eggs

There are many days for children.
Birthday, admission, graduation, the day you want to praise, etc...
What cake do you think of for Children's Day?

Kids love special things.

My children want different things from their peers.

Today, I came up with a cake that can be easily made on the same day.
The biggest benefit is that you don't have to mess with the whole kitchen by beating eggs.
Right. This chocolate cake is a one-bowl solution.
You don't have to worry about washing dishes.

Worried about the taste?
Don't worry at all.

This is absolutely moist, smooth and delicious chocolate cake.

Worried about decorating your cake?
Do not worry.
Simple eyes, a mouth and a ribbon symbolizing a puppy will suffice.
I don't have the skill to smooth cream. So I had no choice but to use clear plastic playing cards. hehe
I used two nozzles to separate the males from the females.

So let's start.

Ingredients

1 tsp = 5 ml, 1 Tbsp = 15 ml, 1 cup = 240 ml
**The most ideal results are obtained when using metric measurements.

[For cake]
1 1/2 cups(195 g) all purpose flour
1 cup(195 g) granulated sugar
1/4 cup(28 g) unsweetened cocoa powder (preferably Dutch-processed)
1 tsp baking soda (not baking powder)
1/2 tsp salt

1 cup water at room temperature
90 ml(6 Tbsp) vegetable oil
1 Tbsp lemon juice (or white vinegar)
1 tsp vanilla extract

[For decoration]
400 ml whipping cream (* I used non-dairy cream.)
40 g (1/4 cup minus 1 Tbsp) granulated sugar

Some melted chocolate

Put all the powders in a bowl and mix well.
Yes, just put them in all at once.

Next, pour the liquid ingredients all at once onto the powder.
Yes, add them all at once.

Now, mix well with a hand whisk so that there are no lumps, and the cake batter is finished.
It's done in 2 minutes.
I can't believe there is such an easy cake... It's true.

I used a 20 cm X 20 cm square pan.
Pour the batter into the pan and bake in the oven.
Bake for about 30 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Remove from oven and let sit in pan for 15 minutes,
then remove pan and cool completely.

While the cake is cooling, make eyes, mouths and bows for the cute puppies. I just painted it with melted dark chocolate. I put it in the refrigerator until use.

Add sugar to whipping cream and beat until firm peaks to prepare whipped cream.
You will also need a piping bag.

I cut a chocolate cake in half to make a 2 layer cake.
Fill the cream between the layers, and apply the cream on the sides and top as well.

By using two different shaped nozzles, females and males were expressed differently.

Put the eyes, mouth, and ribbon on it and it's done.

It's not perfect, but I'm happy that the kids like it.

If you can't come up with ideas for kids, try this recipe.
